who we are

Just a few women wandering around woods.

With roots deep in the heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we’re a long ways from a decent shopping mall. Actually, we’re a long ways from just about everything…with the exception of vast national forests, world-class trail systems, and over-priced coffee shops. When if comes to what we’re doing in our tiny corner of the world, you can find us hiking up Hogback mountain with a full charcuterie, learning to snowboard at the expense of our pride, perched on our favorite lifeguard stand sipping coffee at sunrise, splitting a pancake at Bodega cafe after a killer Saturday morning workout, or headed towards the shoreline of our tiny northern town in a blizzard, just to hear the crashing of the waves.

If it inspires the soul we’re here for it.

As writers, photographers, and general creatives who have a deep love for nature and a toxic trait of forgetting to pay our utility bills, our mission of this project is to capture our adventures, ignite the spirit of simple exploration, create whimsical experiences, and inspire others to do the same.

We hope as you journey with us, you become keenly aware that it doesn’t require crossing an ocean to indulge in an experience.
